The acceleration measurement sensor is specifically designed for model airplane use. Small dimensions and installation holes make the installation easy.
The FDR unit has a built-in acceleration sensor, but if you need to measure additional axis accelerations, this is the device needed.
Basic installation:
Device measures acceleration in the direction indicated by the arrows in the picture. This measurement axis has to be taken in consideration when installing the unit. Fix the unit firmly to the vehicle from the mounting holes using screws. Connect the sensor to any of the free auxillary channels (AUX 1-5) in the FDR. The AUX 1-3 channels are with 12-bit and 4,5 with 8-bit resolution.
